Young Creators Arts & Enrichment (YCAE) is a youth-centered nonprofit dedicated to empowering the next generation through creative expression, leadership development, and entrepreneurial exploration. Rooted in our mission to Create, Inspire, and Motivate, we serve as a bridge for young people—particularly those from underserved communities—to discover their unique talents and realize their boldest dreams. Through hands-on experiences in the arts, mentorship, and access to real-world opportunities, we help youth expand their vision of who they are and what they can achieve. At YCAE, we believe that creativity is a catalyst for confidence, growth, and lifelong success.

YCAE envisions a world where all young people—especially those from underserved communities—have the access, tools, and support they need to express themselves creatively, pursue careers in the arts, and live empowered lives as confident, well-rounded individuals and future entrepreneurs.
History & Inspiration
Established in 2015, Young Creators Arts and Enrichment (YCAE) was founded in Detroit out of a deeply personal vision to give youth the opportunities and support that the founder herself valued growing up—support from her family and community that helped shape her journey. Rooted in a passion for photography and a desire to extend that same level of guidance to other families with creative children, YCAE was born to ignite creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial spirit in youth—especially those in underrepresented communities. Recognizing the lack of accessible creative and enrichment programs for Black and Brown children, YCAE began as a grassroots initiative aimed at filling the gaps where knowledge, mentorship, and exposure were missing. Today, YCAE provides dynamic arts education, mentoring, and job-training experiences for youth in Detroit and surrounding areas, with a special focus on photography, business skills, and creative development. By teaching youth an arts trade, YCAE equips them with marketable skills they can use to support themselves and their families.
